My name is 雲Cloud, like a cloud in the sky. Photos and memories are all I have left of some people I’ve lost, and I wish I had taken more. so, That’s why I put so much of myself into every image I capture.

The name TheGhostofKyoto fits who I am. I don’t crave the spotlight. I work in the shadows, chasing light and capturing it for others.

ever since a child, my younger brother and I were heavily inspired by Japanese culture. but unfortunately, my brother took his own life dec of 2021. my brother and i shared a hobby of collecting masks. and so when he passed, he left me his akatsuki leaf ninja headband. and everyday, i wear it with pride. when he was alive, he wanted to buy me kakashi’s anbu mask (the cat mask) from naruto but he never got the chance. and so i bought it and wear it to honor him and in memory of him.

last but not least, accepting jesus as my lord and savior is priority one in my life. he’s saved me from depression, and has transformed me from the inside out. he gave me a reason to stay alive in this world. and if you don’t know him, i encourage you to get to know him. if he helped me, believe that he can also help you. i am not that special. :)

I’ve been photographing for over 10 years, studied graphic design, and spent 5 years in sales helping businesses and people with their needs. All of that taught me to see people, tell stories, and create experiences that connect.

So yeah, if you read all of that. well, that’s my story.
